DEVICE PURCHASE TERMS & CONDITIONS

These terms form part of the Bill of Sale on page 1.

REPAIR MY PHONE (OXFORD) LIMITED
  1. Legal ownership and age. The seller confirms they are at least 18, are the lawful owner of the device and have full authority to sell it to Repair My Phone (Oxford) Limited.
  2. No stolen, lost or unlawfully obtained devices. The device must not be lost, stolen, fraudulently obtained or supplied without the true owner's permission. Relevant information may be shared with police, networks, insurers or other lawful authorities where necessary and permitted by law.
  3. Finance and third-party rights. The seller must disclose outstanding finance, lease, hire, insurance claims, employer/company ownership, liens or other third-party interests. A purchase may be placed on hold or declined until cleared.
  4. Device locks and accounts. iCloud/Find My, Google/FRP, Samsung account, MDM, passcodes and similar restrictions must be removed where applicable before completion.
  5. Accurate description and faults. Model, storage, colour, IMEI/serial, condition, previous repairs, liquid damage, non-original parts and known faults must be stated accurately to the best of the seller's knowledge.
  6. Inspection and price. The company may inspect, test or verify the device before completing the purchase. The offer may be revised or declined if the device materially differs from the information supplied.
  7. IMEI, blacklist and fraud-prevention checks. The seller authorises reasonable device-status, ownership, lost/stolen, blacklist, finance and fraud-prevention checks using lawful internal or third-party services.
  8. Personal data on the device. The seller should back up and remove personal data before handover. After purchase the device may be reset, erased, repaired, dismantled, recycled or resold as appropriate.
  9. Payment and trade details. The seller is responsible for accurate bank/payment information. Any trade or part-exchange device and its identifiers form part of the transaction record.
  10. Electronic signatures. A signature drawn on this form is captured electronically with the transaction record. By signing, the seller and staff member confirm the declarations and information shown at the time of signing. Signatures must not be added on behalf of another person without proper authority.
  11. Completion of sale. Once the sale is completed and agreed payment is made or confirmed, ownership passes to Repair My Phone (Oxford) Limited, subject to applicable law and rights arising from fraud, theft or material misrepresentation.
  12. Data controller and purposes. Repair My Phone (Oxford) Limited is the data controller for personal information collected on this form. Seller identity/contact details, payment details, device identifiers, verification results and signatures are used to complete the purchase, make payment, maintain transaction records, prevent fraud, handle disputes and meet legal/accounting obligations.
  13. Lawful basis. Personal information is processed where necessary for the transaction or steps connected with it, to comply with legal obligations, and/or for legitimate interests such as fraud prevention, asset protection, record integrity and dispute handling, as applicable.
  14. Data minimisation and security. Access should be limited to authorised staff. The QR code and master record index intentionally exclude full bank and ID numbers, and read-only archive views mask them. Devices holding records should be protected by passcode, encryption and appropriate access controls. No system can guarantee absolute security.
  15. Sharing. Personal information may be shared only where reasonably necessary and lawful, including with payment providers/banks, device-check or fraud-prevention providers, professional advisers, insurers, regulators or law-enforcement authorities. It is not collected by this form for sale to advertisers.
  16. Retention. Personal information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the transaction, accounting/tax records, fraud prevention, disputes and legal obligations. Transaction/accounting records may typically need to be retained for up to six years from the end of the relevant company financial year, and longer where law, an investigation or a legal claim requires it.
  17. Privacy rights and complaints. Depending on the lawful basis and circumstances, individuals may have rights to request access, correction, restriction, objection, portability or deletion. Privacy enquiries can be made to Repair My Phone (Oxford) Limited, 32 Brasenose Drive, Kidlington, England, OX5 2EQ. Individuals may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
  18. Statutory rights. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts a right or obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
Seller declaration: By signing page 1, the seller confirms that they have read or had the opportunity to read these terms, that the information supplied is accurate to the best of their knowledge, and that they agree to the sale on this basis. Privacy note: processing is not based solely on consent; the applicable lawful bases are described above.
